Job Description:Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk Purpose of the Job To effectively process all purchases made by the company and to ensure all suppliers are paid in a timely and accurate manner. To manage the reconciling of creditor statements and dealing with suppliers enquires. To be a proactive team player to enhance and develop processes and skills with other members of staff and senior management, that benefits company. Main Responsibilities 1.To effectively be able to match all purchase invoices to orders raised by different departments. 2.To input all invoices on the system and to ensure purchase invoices are transferred into the accounting system. 3.To ensure all creditors are paid, by completing a BACS payment run twice a month or raising cheques. 4.Reconciling creditor statements. 5.Ensuring that all suppliers enquires are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner. 6.Bank Reconciliation. 7.Ensure that all queries are resolved in a timely manner to minimise accounts being placed on stop with suppliers. 8.Management of the Petty Cash float. 9.Assisting in other general office duties. 10.To be receptive to training and participate fully in the development and improvement of our systems and procedures.
